Our ward's Great to Be Eight fireside was tonight.  Sarah made an awesome eight cake (this isn't it but it will be until I get a picture of hers), I played the piano and the crazy thing was that we attended for Ethan's sake.  I can't believe he will be baptized and starts scouts this year!! The fireside was great and gave them a great idea of what their own baptisms will be like.

This site is a familiar one in our home...Ammon is so tired he falls asleep anywhere these days.  On the floor, in the kids' beds, on the couch, etc.  Residency is exhausting!

Made this snack for Hailey's preschool class.  She was so excited and got lots of oohs and aahhs.  It made me realize how important going a little beyond the norm. is a good thing.

Our little girl started piano lessons this week!! She is catching on so fast and doing such a great job! She started at the exact same time as Ethan did two years ago...January of their kindergarten year.  For us this means a half hour longer at the piano each afternoon but definately will be worth it someday! Go Brynlee!

Once a month I volunteer in Brynlee's classroom and I LOVE going in and seeing her at school.  In the 20 minutes after school and before I pick up Hailey, Isabel and Karli, Bryn and I secretly sneak off to the donut shop for hot chocolate and a donut.  It's our tradition and she loves it!

Went for a much needed Girls' Night Out tonight to La Chatelaine with the girls.  It was fun, relaxing and we laughed so much.  It filled my cup.

I was asked to be a guest speaker at our ward's Provident Mothering Group on the topic of "Creativity with Your Children".  It was a little intimidating but fun at the same time and I enjoyed coming up with many fun, creative activities to do with children.  This tactile balloon one, one was of the examples that I made to demonstrate.  It definately has opened my eyes to more fun things I can do with the kids.

The kids BEGGED to go outside with their umbrellas and were excited when I finally consented. They had fun together running around in the raindrops and getting wet together.

Worst weekend of residency so far.  Ammon was on call all weekend, and I was SICK as a dog.  I have never felt so alone, sick, and homesick ever.  This cold lasted two full weeks and was horrid!!

Now that Ethan has learned to read, storytime just got a lot more interesting for the girls! Princesses and fairytales now have a little bit more action written into them! And I can get a couple of more things done at night like putting away laundry!

Hailey and Karli were sitting at the table while I was making dinner and said "Look mom, they're kissing" and starting giggling.  It was just cute and it made me smile to see them together and being cute.

I was cooking dinner and saw all the neighborhood kids in our front yard, playing in the snow, throwing snowballs and having fun.  We are lucky to have such great kids in our neighborhood!

I seriously believe these two were twins in heaven, separated in birth by thirteen months, who found each other again on earth.  We tell Hailey that after Brynlee left heaven, she just couldn't be without her for long and came and joined our family.  Brynlee is Hailey's world and her very best friend.

Ammon was post call and so we took the kids sledding on the mud/snow hill down by the river.  We had SO much fun and the kids loved to go sledding.  It was a bit dangerous but close to home and a fun afternoon!

The 2010 Primary Pancake Breakfast was the first activity we did as a primary presidency this year.  I worked sooo hard on this and spend hours doing primary paperwork but it turned our great.  Ethan, Brynlee and Hailey all met their new primary teachers, enjoyed a yummy breakfast and went on a scavenger hunt.

Helped Ethan with his spelling words and we used wikki sticks as one of his spelling activities.  Spelling is Ethan's hardest subject and the one we work the most on as a second grader.

Ammon and I gave each other cute new tennis shoes for Christmas-pink for me of course and Cougar blue for him.  We went and played raquetball today at the gym together and officially started training for the half marathon and the sprint triathalon.

Since we accomplished our goal of not eating fries in 2009, the first thing we did in 2010 was head to McDonalds for yummy, delicious fries!!! This crew dug right in and they tasted downright delicious! I was so proud of our goals that we made and stuck to!

On New Year's Day we took down all the Christmas decorations and watched the Rose Bowl.  Ohio State was playing and we were so excited when they WON the game!!!  Ammon is all dected out in his gear too!
